Club Awards | Spring 2007
SJSU's Financial Management Association has one of the most outstanding records among all the other organizations on campus. This page compiles some of the many awards we have won over the years for our efforts in bringing students an industry together as well as for giving back to the community:

Minhas Award
The Minhas Award is given to the most active member, to be used for textbooks for the following semester in the amount of $250.

  • Fall 2007: David Lee
  • Jacquelyn Plathe

Most Active Member Award
This award is given to the top three most active members of the club and at the President's discretion. Prizes range from $50 to $100 and are typically gift cards to popular stores.

  • Fall 2007: Dau Tran & Vivian Tran
  • Evelyn Tan
  • Lily Winoto
  • Patricia Soeharto

Outstanding Member
The DeVincenzi Family Trust sponsors the Outstanding Member Award, which is a $500 award presented annually during the Graduation Banquet.

How To Qualify ...
To qualify for any of the awards, members must participate in at least one social or volunteer activity. Members acrue points based on the following criteria:

  • Professional Development Meeting: 1 pt
  • Social Event: 2 pts
  • Volunteer Activity: 3 pts

Members who sign up for an event but do not show may be docked the number of points available for the event. Our "hall of fame" collection of previous years' winners is available in PDF format [here].
